Hosting Your Own Chapter
No local chapter in your area?
The Gloss Business Edit is just getting started — and we’re building our first chapters around the world. If there isn’t a Business Edit group near you yet, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for entrepreneurial, community-minded women to help launch local chapters, and we’d be happy to share how hosting works and see if it’s the right fit for you.
What do we look for when considering new hosts?
We’re on the lookout for new hosts who are open and inviting. You’re the smiling face that new members see when arriving. You help lead the discussion creating a respectful and safe place for members to discuss different topics and build friendships. Don’t worry – we’ll provide the discussion questions!
What's it like to be a host?
It’s a lot of fun! You run the show; you choose the venue, the date, and time for your monthly book club meeting. It’s your show. We’re happy to help get things up and running and provide you with a list of tried and tested tips to make sure you have a successful chapter.
What are some of the benefits to hosting?
You’ll get access to these wonderful host perks:
- Complimentary copy of each Business Edit pick (print; e-copy when available).
- Discussion kit: full guide, action brief, worksheets/templates.
- Annual membership to The Gloss Business Edit as well as The Gloss Book Club (all author events, online meetings/replays, partner perks).
- Local perks: priority for pop-up IRL extras (networking nights, venue partnerships, headshot days where available).
- 1 paper back copy to raffle per book club (when publisher stock allows) to build momentum.
- Host community access: private host forum, resource library, and office hours.
- Invites to host retreats at a subsidized rate (optional; limited spots).
How do you load events onto the site?
When you log into your Host Dashboard, you’ll find a special section to submit any upcoming event you’d like to host. Simply fill out the form, and we will review and approve your submission. It will then automatically get added to our calendar!
